Gearing up for Christmas

Grandma N. took this picture of Kade by her Christmas tree. We are excited for Kade's first Christmas! He loves the lights and ornaments and wants to get his hands on anything that he can.

New Moon

I was able to help out with a pre-event for the New Moon movie. We dressed up as Twilight vampires and handed out things that related to the movie. I was in charge of handing out the license plate covers.

It was a fun time to be with several ladies from my ward and participate in the hype of the New Moon experience. Hopefully I can see the movie soon!

Halloween 2009

We thought it would be fun to dress up as a family and go out and trick or treat to a few of our neighbors. Kade had a great time as the monkey...Dad was the tree...and Mom was the banana!

Fun at Wheeler Farm

Kade and I went to Wheeler Farm with some friends. Kade had fun looking at the animals especially the ducks. We couldn't even get him to look at the camera and pose for a shot.

Daddy's helper

Kade likes to help his Dad work on Dad's car. He likes to sit in the driver's seat and pretend that he is driving.

Kade's First BYU Game

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for taking Kade to the game and decking him out in clothing!

The car made it out of the garage...after 8 years!

We are excited to report that Bart's 78 TransAm finally drove out of the garage and burned down the street.

(The Camera is a little shaky because Kade kept trying to grab it!)

New Toy

We finally had to get Kade something to play in...so we picked the toy with many gadgets to keep him entertained. Well he lasts for only a few minutes, then is done...I hope he will enjoy it longer someday!

The Big Boy

Kade was all dressed up to go out to dinner with our friends. He looks like such a big boy in his jeans and golf shirt!

It's Official!

We went to court yesterday and Kade is legally ours! Yeah!

Omaha Visit

We were able to go and visit family in Omaha. It was Kade's first airplane ride and first time in the swimming pool!

4th of July

Kade had a great 4th of July. We had a reunion at Lagoon and he did so well. Thanks Grandma N for the matching hat to his 4th of July outift! He looked so cute.

Rice Cereal

Kade has just started liking rice cereal. He opens his mouth big for it, and he likes to spit a little out making a mess all over his face.

We have been taking pictures for a book Grandma N is doing. I love the pictures of Kade's cute hands, feet, and face.

Pizza Teether

We have lost Kade's pizza teether and can't seem to find one anywhere else....If anyone ever comes across one, please get one for us. It was one of his favorite toys.

Handsome Boy

Kade continues to grow...he's almost 5 months now....Here he is on a quilt that Aunt Sally made. He has found his voice more than ever and copies his Dad. His Dad has had a cold and constantly clears his throat. Well Kade is making the same sounds and does it for attention. What a smart little guy.

Kade has sucking his hands like crazy...we try to offer him toys, but he always prefers his fist.

Kade's First Easter

Hawaii

We spent a week in Hawaii with our friends. Kade stayed with Grandpa & Grandma and was taught to sleep through the night. Yea for Grandparents! He has been sleeping through the night since.

Kade's Arrival

On January 27, 2009 we were called into our adoption agency to meet with our case worker and were told that we were going to be parents and that our baby was to be born in the next hour or 2. We were shocked! We found out the next day that a baby boy was born on the 27th @ 5:48PM. He was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. We named him Kade Spencer. We were able to visit him in the hospital that Wednesday evening and brought him home on the 29th. Our lives changed forever! We are grateful for this miracle in our lives.
